Ianza Castle was built in 1903 and Ianza colony is alongside.
Ianza Colony is one of the oldest in the Jiu Valley and it was built in the early 1900s by a wealthy businessman, Vasile Ianza, who was from Sarmizegetusa, but he was living after in Jiu Valley.
The castle and houses from Ianza colony were returned to the artist Cristian Ianza, who transformed the castle into an art exhibition.
