Mija Lake, Parâng Mountains
- It is located right in the glacial bucket at the right of Zanoaga Mija, at an altitude of 1,975 m.
- Guarded by Sliva Peak, located in the right part of the lake, trapezoidal shape approximately, with rounded angles, oriented North-South.
- The length of 120 m and maximum width of 100 m give an area of 0.80 ha and its maximum depth is 6.5 m.
- It is supplied by water provided by precipitation, its level during the spring determines an area of 1 ha and a maximum depth of 7.5 m of water. Being situated behind a high glacial dam, it has no surface evacuation, the lake’s water coming out is infiltrating in the scree.
- Ice bucket where the lake is located is very beautiful.
- The proposed route: Parang Tourist Complex (chairlift landing station – 1685m) – Mija Lake (1,975m)
- Marking: red tape, then yellow dot
- In the first part of the route we follow the red tape, and after approximately 1h – 1h 30min we will also meet the yellow dot.
- The trail marked Red tape continues to the Carja Peak (2,405m) and to the Parangul Mare Peak (2,519m).
- For a more interesting tour we can visit Carja Peak, and then go back to Mija Lake.

- After we meet the yellow dot, it follows a rather long descending route, crossing the valley, and after a short climb we reach the lake.In the valley, there is a sheepfold near our route.
