On April 1st, 1978 it was re-established the Municipal Library Petrosani where during 28 years, that center of information, documentation, important “hotbed” of culture, has provided to its users knowledge and information in all fields, giving them all its available collections. In early 2006, with the care of the local authorities, the library moved into a new building and it is equipped with new furniture and two computers available to its readers connected to the Internet.
